According to South African police, the man died after swallowing the drugs in other to evade arrest. He was subsequently rushed to Arwyp hospital in Kempton Park, Johannesburg, where he gave up the ghost. Some aggrieved Nigerians are however saying he was a victim of police brutality and was choked to death. They gathered near the hospital in protest.
