Earlier this week, I posted a news about the scene created by an alleged wife of one the serving ministers of Nigeria, when she went to register her MTN sim card at a location in Abuja. The said woman, who was in a full burka, refused to expose her face for her snap shot to be taken.
She later left the registration room to ask her husband whether she should reveal her face and that was when she got into a heated argument with one of the security operatives, who insisted that she must go through security checks before being allowed back into the premises.
MTN has now updated their rules to accommodate her. In the new rules, anyone who doesn’t want to expose her face, would have to ask her husband to register the sim in his own name and the husband would be held responsible for whatever thing the sim is used for, going forward….. d fear of another fine is d beginning of wisdom….
