Obasanjo, Emir, 10,652 others graduate from NOUN, as a 70-year-old grandpa bags First Class

Today, former Pres. Obasanjo bagged a Masters Degree (MA) in Christian Theology from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). He graduated with a CGPA of 4.25 at the Abeokuta Study Centre of
the University. The 5th Convocation ceremony held at its permanent site, Abuja, also saw 15 students graduate with First Class honours. .

A total number of 10,652 other students also graduated. Mr Udo Ukeme Effiong emerged the best graduating student after scoring the highest CGPA of 4.71 from School of Science and Environmental Management, while a 70-year-old Rear Admiral Orishamolade Stephen Ola, made First Class in Mathematics.

NOUN VC, Prof. Vincent Ado-Tenebe, said Obasanjo bagged MA in Christian Theology, having sat for about 10 examinations. He also disclosed that Obasanjo was given admission to study MA and Ph.D in Christian Theology, therefore, the former president would now continue with his Ph.D fully. .

Two traditional rulers, Emir of Hadejia, Chairman of Traditional Rulers, Jigawa State and Chancellor of University of Uyo, and paramount ruler of Agwu kingdom, Felix Okechukwu Asadu, also graduated…… wt a 3rd Class and a Pass respectively…..
