PDP’s Ekwunife defects to APC, says Ndigbo can’t continue to be relegated from the national bargain

Ahead of the Anambra Central Senatorial District relection re-run, erstwhile senator representing the district, Senator Uche Ekwunife, today, defected to the APC. Ekwunife, who was inaugurated as senator in June, 2015, had
her election nullified by Appeal Court in Enugu on December 6, 2015, on grounds that she was not duly and legitimately nominated as the PDP flag-bearer.

Today, she said she made wide consultations before making the move to the APC. She added that: ”We Ndigbo cannot continue to be relegated from the national bargain which we are co-owners.
