Mrs Philomena Asuquo committed the suicide by drinking sniper, an insecticide, at the Police Barracks on Sagamu Road in Ikorodu on New Year’s Eve. Her late husband, Inspector Uwem Asuquo, is
yet to be buried.
She was said to have done so out of frustration. According to her 19-year-old son, Shadrach, who rushed her to the Ikorodu General Hospital, she had been depressed since her husband died in November, 2015. Their 3 children have been orphaned.
