Being talked about by arguably the biggest newspaper in UK with 194 years of publishing experience is no mean feat. In their latest article about the hottest African pop songs on the charts across the globe right now, The
Guardian profiled Brymo and the current best African female artist, Yemi Alade, and talked glowingly about them. About Brymo, they said:
“Nigerian music label and collective Chocolate City publicly rowed with Brymo (the vocalist who featured on Ice Prince’s Afrobeats classic, Oleku) a couple of years ago, before the singer parted ways with them permanently. What a loss to them. Brymo, possibly one of Naija’s most criminally underrated artists, has since independently put out 2 extraordinary albums. He delivers as always on this new song, Duro, which indicates another album – his 5th – is on the way. Hopefully it will be to much larger acclaim.”….. especially if he fakes his death too……
