Tears flowed freely today as David Idah, 26, was given the capital punishment at an Ogun State High Court sitting in Abeokuta. He slaughtered a retired Senior Magistrate, Mrs Olufunmilayo Timeyin, 65, on the 28th of March, 2014 for
sacking him after he was caught stealing.
He had returned to the house, scaled the fence before killing her at Laderin Housing Estate, Abeokuta. Justice Abiodun Akinyemi, today, sentenced Idah, a native of Benue State, to death by hanging for unlawful killing …. he was however pardoned for d stealing, since its nt corruption…..
