Governor Muhammad Badaru made this known today in Dutse, the state capital. Between 25 and 30 widows would be selected from each of the 287 wards in the state to benefit from the program. He said the gesture would go a
long way in assisting the women in taking care of their children in terms of feeding and schooling as they would not face difficulties in finding feeds for the animals as rural dwellers.
The breed they would be given gives birth to 3 off-springs twice a year and each of the over 8000 widows would get two she-goats and one he-goat to rear….. d he-goats were all smiles at d potential of an apparent government approved threesome all year round…..
