While picking N3m ransom, a kidnapper was shot dead

Niyi Omosola, was shot dead by the police in Epe, Lagos during a rescue operation by the police to free a kidnap victim, Kudirat. While collecting the ransom, Niyi, sighted the police and decided to escape on a motorcycle, but some bullets were buried into
his body by the police. The bullets later decided to kill him on their own accord. Niyi, led a gang which kidnapped Kudirat in Elemoro, Ajah.

Kudirat, 62, was abducted last Thursday at about 7pm while inspecting the construction work at a petrol station she owns. The gang later contacted the family and demanded a ransom of N50m. After negotiation, they agreed to a ransom of N3m.

They kidnappers are a notorious gang. They had conducted several operations in the area. Efforts are being intensified to arrest other fleeing members of the gang…. who r said to b planning to hold a candle light procession for Niyi today at 8.25pm from Lagos to Ondo State where Niyi is from……
