A High Court sitting in Akure, Ondo state, on Tuesday sentenced a 26-year-old man, Saliu Oladayo, to death by hanging, for killing his girlfriend, Confidence Ebere.
The accused was said to have stabbed he to death after a misunderstanding between them in in May 2018 Oladayo was subsequently arraigned on a one-count charge of murder.
In his judgement, Justice Ademola Bola said Oladayo was found guilty of the offence and sentenced him to death by hanging
