Nigeria’s women basketball team, D’Tigress, became the first African team to win two games in the history of FIBA competitions, as they defeated Argentina 75-70 in their last group game at the Women’s World Cup on Tuesday.

They have now qualified for the quarter-final of the competition. The victory meant D’Tigress finished second in their group behind Australia and will now face Greece for a place in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.
